If you don’t have pomegranate jelly, strawberry jam works as a substitute. The wings are meant to be very salty, sweet, spicy, and sticky; adjust the seasonings to taste if you prefer a milder glaze.
Add water to a deep frying pan, just enough to cover the chicken wings. Bring the water to a boil and then add in your .
Stir in , , , and . Reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, until the wings begin to cook down and the liquid reduces.
Add , , , and . Toss well to coat, adding a splash of water if needed to keep the sauce moving.
Continue simmering until the sauce is thick, glossy, sticky, and the wings are very tender and fall-off-the-bone, about 10 to 15 minutes more.
